10 Best Tweets About Sabrina Carpenter’s New Album, “Short n’ Sweet”

by Lexi Inks

August 23 bestowed upon us a blessing in the form of Sabrina Carpenter’s new album, Short n’ Sweet. This musical masterpiece is 36 minutes and 15 seconds (thank you, Spotify) of unbridled lust, love, and lamentation — and the internet has a lot to say about it. SNS earned over 57 million Spotify streams on August 23 alone — rightfully so — and Twitter has been ablaze with reactions from folks who were stans back in Carpenter’s Disney heyday to those who just became acquainted after the release of her smash hit single, “Espresso.”

I personally cannot get enough of tracks like “Bed Chem,” “Taste,” and “Juno.” Does that expose me as a very horny bitch? Yes. Do I care? I have nary a f*ck to give. If you’re also enjoying this no-skip magnum opus of a pop album, you’ll want to keep reading for the 10 best tweets about Short n’ Sweet.

Situationship or sh*tuationship?

Relatable.

Raise your hand if you’re ovulating

Just blame it on your cycle. You can’t help it if your hormones turn into whoremones.

A scandalous line (as she should)

Now I’m not usually one to speculate on who an artist is writing about in a song… but let’s just say this diabolical line is probably referring to the thighs of someone whose name rhymes with Camila Cabello.

Short girlies, this is your moment

I meaaaaannnn… the title kind of says it all.

Queens recognizing queens

There’s nothing more meaningful than women supporting women, and Victoria Monét obviously recognized that Sabrina Carpenter really deserved her flowers… literally. We love to see it!

All the vibes in one photo

Preparation is key when it comes to new releases, so this poster had the right idea. After listening to the full album, I really appreciate and understand every aspect of this photo.

Ouch

Honestly, she clocked most of us there. But still, ouch. “Lie to Girls” didn’t have to attack us so personally.

A rollercoaster of emotions

Getchu an album that can do both — make you feral AF one second and sobbing on the bathroom floor the next. Carpenter is nothing if not a woman with range.

She’s just like us FR

In an interview with Zane Lowe, Carpenter revealed that, contrary to popular belief, Short n’ Sweet wasn’t titled such because shorty is literally short. It’s because she’s a relatable queen and she’s been through the dreaded three month relationship-that-ruins-your-life like the rest of us. *Cries while listening to “Sharpest Knife” again*

We’re all about the facts over here

Enough said.
