There’s nothing like a crisp breeze or a crunchy pile of leaves to really get you in the autumn spirit. As we say goodbye to brat summer and hello to demure fall, our wardrobe and beauty shelves will be switching up as well. This year, the chosen color palette we’re heading toward is full of rich, bold shades like wine red and chocolate brown.
Loving fall has received a bad rap in years past for being “basic,” between the pumpkin spice latte craze and the quintessential couple or family photoshoots in a pumpkin patch. That said, we believe there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being a fan of the season — who doesn’t love getting cozy, sipping a warm beverage, and layering with all the cutest sweaters or shackets? This year in particular, though, it seems that these final months are getting a glamorous makeover.
From wine red french tips that match your glass of cabernet to creamy brown sugar shades, here are 12 fall nail colors you need to try in 2024.
1. Glazed chocolate
There’s no doubt that trendy chrome nails will live on throughout the rest of this year. Luckily, it pairs well with the rich and yummy shades of autumn. These glazed chocolate nails will get you in the perfect mood for a sweet, warm treat.
2. Dark olive green
As they say, trends tend to cycle — and the popular green hues of yore are making a major comeback. These fabulous, dark olive green nails remind me of the 2016 makeup and army jacket era… good times.
3. Deep purple
It’s time to shine for those of us who truly love a good lavender or mauve (IYKYK). The classics are classics for a reason, and black is no exception. You can’t go wrong with a full-on black manicure, no matter the season. Whether you’re embracing the darkness of spooky season (or the the ending of daylight saving time), this inky shade will always be a worthy go-to.

One thing miss Hailey Bieber has certainly done in the past year — aside from becoming a mother! — is setting the trends when it comes to popular nail colors and designs. I’d wager that she’s almost singlehandedly keeping Big Chrome in business with the amount of styles she’s paired with it. This gorgeous copper chrome is giving all the Hailey-gone-fall vibes.
9. Raspberry pink
One of the many lessons the Barbie movie taught me in 2023 is that pink is always a good idea, no matter the occasion — or in this case, the season. A lovely raspberry hue like this one gives flirty, feminine, and fierce, all at the same time.

Once again, blues are happening this fall — so we’d better get with the program during our next mani pedi appointments. Did I discover a new fave nail color in doing so? Also yes.)
