Billie Eilish Kamala endorsement

Billie Eilish Endorsed Kamala Harris For President

Billie Eilish just used her voice in a powerful way — other than serenading fans angelically.

On September 17, the “Birds of a Feather” singer posted a video on X, along with her brother, Finneas, encouraging their followers to vote in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

In honor of National Voter Registration Day, the sibling musicians shared that they are officially endorsing Kamala Harris and Tim Walz for our next President and Vice President, respectively. “We are voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet, and our democracy,” the Grammy winner said.

“We can’t let extremists control our lives, our freedoms, and our future,” added Finneas, a Grammy winning producer and musician, who has previously been an outspoken critic of former President Donald Trump.

The critically acclaimed pair aren’t the first A-list celebrities to back the Harris-Walz campaign. On September 10, during the evening of the first 2024 Presidential debate, global superstar Taylor Swift shared her public endorsement of Harris in an Instagram post. Swift signed off as a “childless cat lady,” a cheeky nod to comments made by Vice Presidential candidate J.D. Vance in a 2021 Fox News interview.

Other celebs who endorsed Kamala Harris include singers Olivia Rodrigo and Charli XCX, with Charli tweeting an iconic and direct message: “kamala IS brat.”

The upcoming 2024 Presidential election will happen on November 5, with early voting available at individually determined dates in 47 states across the U.S. As Eilish mentioned, you can visit iwillvote.com to plan for casting your ballot. No matter who your choice will be, Eilish is right: “Vote like your life depends on it, because it does.”
